Lumen vs Tella
Tella is a browser-based recorder with Mac and Windows apps and hosted share links; Lumen is a desktop app for Windows, Linux and macOS that keeps recordings on your device and exports polished video files.
Details
Tella fits teams that want every video hosted with a link, embeds and password protection, plus Auto Zoom from clicks and AI editing features, all in the browser.
Lumen fits people who want the file: automatic cursor zooms, a camera bubble and on-device captions, exported locally on Windows 10/11, Linux x86_64 or macOS, without uploading the recording to Lumen.
Lumen Premium is from $9/month early bird. Tella publishes its own pricing.
