## FAQ

### Is Lumen a Screen Studio alternative?

Yes. Lumen is built for the same job - automatic zooms that follow your cursor, a camera bubble and polished exports - and it runs on Windows, Linux and macOS. Screen Studio is macOS-only.

### Does Screen Studio work on Windows or Linux?

No. Screen Studio is a macOS app. If you need that style of polished screen recording on Windows or Linux, Lumen is the alternative.

### Which platforms does Lumen run on?

Linux (x86_64), macOS on Apple Silicon and Intel, and Windows 10/11 (x64).

### How do I install it?

Run the one-line command on the homepage for your platform. On Windows it installs for your user only, adds a Start menu shortcut, and can be removed from Settings → Apps.

### How does Premium unlock in the app?

Subscribe on this site, then sign in to the desktop app with the same Google or GitHub account. Premium turns on within seconds.

### How do I cancel?
